From the introduction you now know the basic principles involved in the making of the 3D playing cards. To get it just right, we spent hundreds of hours in developing the world's first 3D playing cards. Our goal was to create the stereographic, or 3D effect without it being obvious. Put simply, the effect is created by repeating a certain pattern or tiling across each card. The tiling covers up the hidden 3D image. The 3D image (in our case the 3D image consists of the value of each card such as the king of hearts) is created in a 3D modeling program, then converted into colors or shades of gray, where each color or shade is assigned a certain depth value. Finally the "shaded image" and the tiled pattern are combined by yet another program using certain algorithms to create the finished back cover of the cards. The process is not quite as easy as it sounds. Each of the 54 cards had to be created separately and the tiled pattern had to look identical on each card to closely resemble regular playing cards.
The cards themselves are high quality bridge size cards on coated card stock available in either red or blue. We also offer a deluxe version of our cards which includes two tricks! Viewing instructions are included with every deck of cards for your convenience.
We took our time with world wide marketing efforts, made some improvements on our packaging design and added some magic tricks to provide even more value. We're certain that you'll enjoy our cards as much as we have enjoyed making them.
